7. I've said it in other threads on the subject....
The guy is an asshole. I hate him and his policies. But as a NJ resident I'll say he handled this as well as I would have expected any Governer to handle it. He made clear decisions, communicated them well and with minimal to no politicking or posturing or whatever else. And the plan (obvious though it may have been) and enforcement of it most definitely saved some lives. It'd be hard to imagine a Democratic Governor doing any better a job or coming up with a different or better plan or approach.
Again...still an asshole. And I have the feeling that will become more apparent and that side of him will rear it's head again with the clean up and the cost and federal money and whatever else will come up once the details of the damage and what is needed start emerging.
But for now, credit where it is due. He did what he should have done and he did it the way it should have been done. I have no complaints about how he handled this disaster or how he handled himself.
