Lockerbie bomber Abdel Basset al-Megrahi is comatose, near death and likely to take secrets of the attack on Pan Am Flight 103 to his grave.

CNN found al-Megrahi under the care of his family in his palatial Tripoli villa Sunday, surviving on oxygen and an intravenous drip. The cancer-stricken former Libyan intelligence officer may be the last man alive who knows precisely who in the Libya government authorized the bombing, which killed 270 people.

"We just give him oxygen. Nobody gives us any advice," his son, Khaled Elmegarhi, told CNN.

It would likely mean that all the evidence that he was framed for the Lockerbie bombing will go unexamined, those who did do it will continue to walk free, and all the FBI and CIA's efforts to pervert the course of justice in Scotland (where a town was decimated, don't forget) will never come to light.

And I'm fed up that every time this guy comes up in a post title, the initial reaction from so many is some variant of "Die, already." Do some reading into the case that the MSM won't cover in the US - it's not hard to find the information online.

had him escaping Libya hand in hand with his boss Qadaffi, en route for Algeria. Or was that Venezuela?

All I could think last night was that it must've been a hell of an act he had to fool so many doctors in Scotland and gain his compassionate release to die at home.
