3. The Tea Party is a joke ... I'd expect a few right wing lone wolves, but no organized effort.
The GOP built the Tea Party, and is now defunding it.

The GOP goal has been to shake a few nuts loose from the crazy tree ... but there will be no real Tea Party violence.

Most of the Tea party is loud bluster and little else.

4. Funny, here we're told Obama's just a DINO doing the GOP bidding.
What's for the Tea Party to get violent about, then?

11. The tea baggers are irrational, ignorant racists.
Edited on Sun Aug-28-11 04:34 PM by EFerrari
They don't need any reason to be violent.

17. He is, but they're stupid psychopaths and sociopaths who get their
marching orders from hate radio, who worship all (R)'s and hate all (D)'s.

5. No, unless their heads explode from the cognitive dissonance of suddently caring about debt so much.
Wait, you mean Reagan, Bush, and Bush increased the debt so much more than the Democrats did?

(boom)

6. There were also fears that
the '02, '04, '06 and '08 elections were going to be cancelled. I don't recall any of those fears coming true.

12. There were also fears that Bush would invade Iraq,
that the Iraq invasion would cause complications for more than a few weeks,

that the Republican disdain for anti-terrorism experts would make the US vulnerable to terrorist attacks,

that a Republican Supreme Court majority would rule on a presidential election in the predictable way, despite contradicting all the rulings that went before,

that Republican anti-terrorism efforts would lead to violating the rights of liberals and pacifists,

and on and on and on and on.

You can't realistically argue that, because some fears didn't come to pass, that no fears will. Some fears did come to pass. Some fears will.

10. Hopefully, the Republican Party by that time will be able to instill
into their brains(TP) some facts.
One, the Tea Party is a Minority within the Republican
Party. Two as a group when compared with more than 20 other
Groups, the TEA PARTY is looked upon with the least favor.
(Least Popular Group of Americans. The insist on pursuing
policies with which majority Americans do not agree.

If you are tiniest Group and are unpopular---it is not
smart to start a fight. Becoming Violent is not the
best answer.

14. The Tea Party is filled with sick, sick bastards. However, I really hope
no one is suggesting that a politician should be reelected, or not, on the basis of what those racist freaks will do if it happens. He should be reelected, or not, on his merits as a president, and SCREW anyone (that's anyone) who threatens violence if the process isn't what s/he wants.

16. I agree, the last thing we should worry about is a few tea baggers
they wouldn't be much of a match against the US MArines.

24. What are you talking about? They've been escalating their violence
for 20 years and the US military hasn't done anything about them. Did you post to the wrong thread or something? Your post has nothing to do with escalating right-wing violence.

Does anything on http://www.splcenter.org/get-informed/publications/terror-from-the-right">this list look familiar?

Oh. Sorry. I forgot. These are all lone wolves. The right doesn't conspire.

21. That's quite a list
These are just the ones who have been caught. There's no reason to believe it's going stop until someone fights back. Hopefully it's not too late already.

22. No but if a Dem prez is elected after Obama
I think the conservative movement will either turn to violence or totally be defeated ideologically that millions of them will finally be enlightened.
