Democrats didn’t make the FEMA’s budget big enough.
"Reps. Hal Rogers, (R-KY), Robert Aderholt (R-AL), and Jo Ann Emerson (R-MO), who all sit on the Appropriations Committee, released a statement Saturday morning when it started raining in Washington. The reason for FEMA’s money problem, they said, was that Democrats didn’t make the agency’s budget big enough to begin with."

What the fuck??

And Freepers are blaming Democrats for Fema's budget woes as well.

2. Which is why Democrats need to focus on doing the right, not on
compromise. If we compromise 50%, and the outcome is a failure, we get 100% of the blame because we control government.

5. I hope the Democrats learn that trying to appease Republicans
is only used to make Democrats look bad. You will be
tax and spenders no matter what. Trying to penny pinch
like Republicans is going to be used against you by
the same Republicans.

Of course Republicans sit on the committee and there
is good reason to think the Republicans on committee
did everything they could to keep Dems from spending.

Now the Republicans are out accusing the Dems of cutting
Fema too much. What is new.

6. Republicans
You how people say the Republican may be bad, but at least they have principles? I don't think they actually have principles, because they don't take responsibility for the consequences their decisions have. You can see the same thing with the debt crisis fiasco.
