2. I'm sorry for the loss of your tree (I know they seem like old friends, at least

they do to me) but I'm grateful that nothing worse happened and I'm hoping so much that all my neighbors to the north there will come through this okay.

I feel very grateful that we only lost a shingle from the roof and no other damage, and that we have power.

We didn't lose power for which I am grateful. I heard that people in NJ who lost power, may take 6-7 days to restore. That's a real pain in the neck.

We didn't have much wind, but a lot of rain. My informal gauge I'd say 11-12 inches.
