Sticking to building damages now; several roofs and facades already, including the grad school at Georgetown U. Higher winds expected over the next 4 hours. Person trapped in car after tree fell on it. Stay safe, people.

14. In Manhattan they are worried about the East River and there is public housing

all along that side of lower Manhattan, next to Alphabet City area. I heard in late afternoon that only 25% of the people had evacuated from there even though it is mandatory. They had a line of buses waiting for people to get in so they could take them somewhere safe, just sitting there empty.

It's not just the flooding and wind, but the fact that the elevators wouldn't work etc... In fact I believe I heard them say they were cutting the power to the buildings for safety reasons so those people are not going to be in a good position. Hope they all make it okay.

The multiple rowhouse facade collapse is on R street (DuPont area). Three families evacuated, which must absolutely suck right now.
