I really like Chris Jansing.
She used to be an anchor in Albany, NY and she was my favorite news anchor.
I really missed her when she left to work for MSNBC. So nice to see her getting so many assignments these days.

1. Me, too! She was on with Ed Dague, who was truly one of us.
They were the best news team in the area. My cousin, who became an on-air news reporter herself, agreed that they were the real professionals. Too bad that she was lured away, but it's cool to see her on the national level. :)

3. I was going to mention Ed Dague...but I thought no one would know who I was talking about.
No news team has been as good as they were. I wonder if Ed is alive? I seem to recall he died. He was truly the best!

7. Ed's still around, though he was forced to retire.
He has a degenerative arthritic condition, so he's in chronic pain. Do you remember that he always seemed to have a stiff neck? He is still writing though, just finished a memoir last year and occasionally writes articles. :hi:

2. She was Chris Kapostashy, or some such ethnic name
In Albany.

4. I think she took her married name or maiden name...can't remember which.
They thought Kapostashy was too difficult for folks to remember. I like Jansing much better but I always think of her as Chris Kapostachy.

8. So do I! She was Chris Kapostasy when she was on WNYT - Albany.
I think she changed to her married name when she went to work for the network, but I still refer to her as Chris Kapostasy, too, and that's how most folks around here still think of her... :hi:

5. I agree with you. She seems very unaffected and genuine.
She seems a person I'd like as a neighbor

6. Count me in also.
She's always very professional and so classy. Very likable, too.
