Anyone in NY/NJ- Cd you recommend radio stations for news.
I am pre-setting my battery-operated radio for when the power goes out.
The only one I know is 1010, and the local one WCTC.

Thank you!

4. 1010 and 880 are news
660 is sports

92.3 and 100.3 are pop music.
101.9 is rock music
97.1 and 105.1 for rap
103.5 for dance.

Good luck!

8. 101.9 is news now
but not quite as good as 880 or 1010 (in that order).

10. Wow. I missed that.
Partly because I don't listen to it. I have satellite and thankfully don't have these issues. I don't think NY has a single full time rock station. It's a tragedy.

5. Depending on who gets knocked off the air in a power failure (or wind issues)
you may want to set it to scan if thats an option.

I have a crank/solar/battery hand-dial radio that has a scan feature.
