1. I'm in the big red left arm of the storm and it's barely raining and kind of breezy

2. Is NYC off the hook, then?
Not that this is a good thing for North Carolina, but still...

3. It's weakening.
I think it will just be a big blow for NY, but the surge is still something to deal with.

9. If it's moving NNE, it could still go out to sea and strengthen.
Don't count anything out until it's completely broken apart - and even then, there will be heavy rain and high wind from the remnants.

Let's just get through today and tomorrow, then take stock.

4. How are you doing?
You were 100% correct when you said it would be North Carolina.

Stay safe :grouphug:

5. You're not off the hook.
But the fish heading for you may be somewhat smaller. The proble will still be a boatload of rain and still some high winds. The range of damage will probably still be quite wide over a big area. Watch the forward speed. The slower it goes, the worse off you will be. Gawd help you if it stalls for some reason.

10. Man I wish that rain were headed here -
but I'm super glad this thing has weakened. Hopefully this will mean a calmer day in DC/New York/Boston.

12. That should knock some of the punch out of it.
Hopefully it will weaken even more.
