Locally, are you a climate change winner of loser thus far?
I mean, we are all losers ultimately, but my unscientific data indicates my area( northern california) is a winner. Milder summers, milder winter with more needed precipitation. My friend is Texas says she's a loser. I ask her why a she can only say google weather Texas. And your area is ......?

1. Loser. I live up north for a reason, and it isn't five days in a row of 90 degrees in July.

2. I'd say we're a winner. Predictions are for moisture levels to stay the
same or increase while conditions warm. I figure we're in for some spectacular snowfalls (the closer to 32 degrees, the more snow we get) until we cross over into the same climate Seattle has.

4. NOT SURE, EXPERIENCED FIRST EARTHQUAKE yesterday.
Some said it might be from fracking, since the MINING process is so new and the consequences are only now beginning to surface.

.....left my yard, even irrigated, according to area restrictions, distressed and dying. electric bill astronomical for July. And August is turning out be even hotter - predictions are for current weather pattern to last until spring or another year. Absolutely unprecedented. and watering restrictions about to be tougher. Texas.

6. Winner. Cooler summers, warmer winters. If you don't mind rain.
I can happily live without the snow and heat and don't mind the rain. SW Washington.

8. Too soon to tell
It's really too soon to tell. There are two primary predictions for how Texas could change - 1 is desert the other is rainforest. I'd say one is a winner (rainforest) and the other is a loser. But there is a chance that we could see both with one being a transitional state. Right now I'd say we're losing. We're turning to desert. Our lakes are drying up, we are running out of water. Please send us a Hurricane.

9. Actually, I was going to say loser for the Bay Area
because of the two brutal winters since I've been back here. (Needed or not, all that rain really fscks up my transit-dependent life.) The Central Valley, though, is a winner, having been spared the usual triple-digit heat this summer.

11. Loser. Here in central Arkansas it was hot too early and the high humidities, even
higher than normal, are very unpleasant. It does not cool down enough at night. If this sort of stuff becomes the new "normal" it will be unacceptable, imo. The lakes have warmed up to the point that even a swim is disgusting. I don't like to relax in the lake in bath water. My opinion....
