1. That is actually something we could learn from the GOP.

The GOP knows that powerful narratives have heroes and villains. One thing I'll hand to the GOP: they always know who their villains are (people like me), and they are generally very quick to make sure that everybody else hears their narrative on any particular topic.

That is why they've won the meme war over the last 3 decades, so thoroughly that even Democrats spend their time worrying about "deficit reduction" instead of the discussion we should be having, which is how big to make our Keynesian stimulus bill.

Assign blame and do it first!
