- Create a throwaway e-mail account at a provider that allows you to specify nothing, or bogus data, for password recovery. (i.e., type random gibberish for the secret question, specify an invalid e-mail for recovery etc.) - Log in to this new e-mail account. - Change your e-mail address in your DU account settings to this new new account. - Logout from DU. - Go to the login page. - Use the "forgot password" procedure. DU will reset your password to some random crap and send it to the new e-mail account. - Wait for it to arrive at the new e-mail. Delete it, and delete from the trash folder, without seeing. - Go to the new-email account settings for changing the password. - Use some program to generate a string of random letters or numbers. Copy the output to the clipboard. It helps if you squint your eyes to avoid accidentally remembering it. Close the window in which it appears. - Use the clipboard content as the new e-mail password. Save. Log out. - Copy something to the clipboard. Anything. A portion of the text of the webpage you're seeing will do. - Log out from all computers in which you used to browse DU.
Congratulations! You have just effectively tombstoned yourself. Now all those right-wingers, religious fundies, and other spades you can't call a spade are behind you. Stay on healthier portions of the web, like for instance extreme gore porn sites.
