Sorry if this has been posted before, but it's just to telling. I guess corporations are "persecuted people" now...

1. You mean 'persecuted'?
Yeah, poor, over-burdened, over-regulated, over-taxed corporations that have the highest profits in recorded history. If we would only give the poor babies more money and lower taxes, when they've accumulated 70% of the wealth in the country, then they'll create jobs. I just know it!

Down here.

2. it highlights the two definitions of "freedom"
freedom was obviously a main idea in the Civil Rights movement. Freedom songs, freedom rides, freedom summer, etc. That makes total sense to me.

Then I hear conservatives talk this other way about freedom. It never made ANY sense to me, whatsoever. What does this have to do with freedom?

PERRY: Listen, America’s gone a long way from the standpoint of civil rights and thank God we have. I mean we’ve gone from a country that made great strides in issues of civil rights. I think we all can be proud of that. And as we go forward, America needs to be about freedom. It needs to be about freedom from overtaxation, freedom from over-litigation, freedom from over-regulation. And Americans regardless of what their cultural or ethnic background is they need to know that they can come to America and you got a chance to have any dream come true because the economic climate is gonna be improved.
