Earthquake in southwestern, VA
OMG....house shaking, windows rattling, dishes jumping around in the shelves. It was strong enough it woke me out of a dead sleep.

4. Shaken up but okay, thanks.
I've never experienced an earthquake and was sound asleep. I instantly knew what it was and it's not something I want to experience again. We shook for a good 2-3 minutes.

Well, whatever you do, don't mention that to our west coast members, it might put a crimp in their amusement over our concern over a 5.9 earthquake. Gosh, you'd think we were a bunch of sissies, or something.:sarcasm:

Forgot to add that I live 37 miles NW of the Shearin Harris nuke plant, which is within the danger zone if anything bad happens there.

7. I don't care what they think....it was quite disturbing to say the
least....my condo is not built to withstand much...plus we have tunnels...imagine being in one during a quake.
