Amy's body: 'No illegal substances'
Source: Belfast Telegraph

Toxicology results show there were "no illegal substances" in Amy Winehouse's body at the time of her death, her family has said.

The Back To Black singer was found dead at her flat in north London on July 23.

The family statement said: "Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy's system at the time of her death

"Results indicate that alcohol was present but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death.

7. See here
They say tests indicate alcohol was present but it cannot yet be determined if it played a role in the singer's death last month.

13. The info about the results is coming from her family.
Not from any official.

15. I am saying I don't know what the official results are.
And the family haven't mentioned anything about concentration of alcohol present.

I've been bombed beyond belief at times, and the worst that happened is I hugged the bowl.

24. Not necessarily....
It would depend on the kind of alcohol, how much was ingested in what amount of time, the weight of the person, etc.

This is one of the reasons why I don't drink. I'm very sensitive to medications and alcohol. It takes far less for me to get trashed than it does for most people.

6. Alcohol withdrawal unmonitored
can be fatal. Having seen her doctor the day before her death why didn't they insist she be hospitalized?

Yet, it's legal.

P.S.
And they still can take your children away if you discretely smoke a doob.

25. We had to have substantial evidence that any drug use significantly
affected the care of the children before our supervisors' would okay the children being taken into custody when I worked for Child Protective Services. Of course I retired ten years ago. I never worried about marijuana; HOWEVER, the case just fell into your lap when a parent used methamphetamine - you simply couldn't ignore the damage that was being done there - even if you wanted to do so. Meth use is always bad news.
