It's Dennis Kucinich, his 2008 DNC speech.

I remember watching it on one of the networks, it wasn't CNN. I remember thinking how carelessly they were covering him, not talking over it or anything, but they weren't on him from the get-go, the way this CSPAN video shows it. They were doing crowd shots, with Dennis' speech in the background.

Then he got going.

Say what you want about Dennis, he can bring a crowd to its feet when he's on fire. And as the crowd starts cheering, and he starts bouncing, you could smell the half-panic in the studio's control room, as they dashed back to get cameras on him. They didn't see it coming. Great stuff.

"This is not a call for you (America) to take a new direction, from right to left. This is a call for you to take a new direction, from down to up! Up with the rights of workers! Up with wages! Up with fair trade! Up with creating millions of new jobs!" etc. etc. etc.
