Jared Loughner's parents statement was more gracious to the victims then Sarah Palin's

Judging by the news reports, I hope his parent's find peace.

This is a very difficult time for us. We ask the media to respect our privacy. There are no words that can possibly express how we feel. We wish that there were so we can make you feel better. We don't understand why this happened. It may not make any difference, but we wish that we could change the heinous events of Saturday. We care very deeply about the victims and their families. We are so very sorry for their loss.

and not judge their role in this (not getting help for their son, etc. -- it can be near to impossible to force a fully grown child into therapy). But I would not be surprised, either, if that statement were written (or at least instigated ) by the defense attorney.

I think the men in suits were with the sheriff's department, as that was who Randy Lougner said he wanted to release the message through last night.

he'd visited them, reported them devastated about families and their son, mother in bed, crying, father pacing, couldn't speak more than 3 words w/o crying.

I can't even begin to imagine the hell they are living through right now. Their own son ruined their lives along with the lives of his victims. So sad.
