5. He's the only one of the GOP primary bunch with half a brain.
Of course the tea baggers will hate him! I think their party slogan should be "Idiots unite!"

6. Half a brain...
That still puts him light years ahead of the last few Republicans in the presidential election.

12. Gary Johnson and Fred Karger have displayed snippets of sanity as well,
but they have yet to be included in any of the debates, so it's not like they even exist to the baggers!

10. Huntsman digs Captain Beefheart.
Kid you not:

Huntsman takes to Twitter, smacks Perry, riffs on Beefheart

EXCERPT...

Obviously feeling liberated, Huntsman then started to riff: “Wonder if a tweet where I admit how much I like Captain Beefheart will make the followers skyrocket even more!” he questioned. (Huntsman used to play keyboards in a rock band, not that that explains his fondness for the esoteric Beefheart.)

Not confused -- I just like the Captain.

13. He's what Republicans used to be.
I used to disagree with republicans on any number of things in the era before and even during Reagan (there were still a few moderate repubs even when Ronnie was Prez). But at least most of them were sane and stable then. They even made pretty good next-door neighbors.

Now the vast majority are just friggin' loons.

I miss the Repubs like Huntsman.
