If Alan West wants to compare himself to an historic African American Woman
Edited on Thu Aug-18-11 09:33 PM by Tony_FLADEM
he is closer to Sally Hemings than Harriet Tubman. He's in bed with the people that don't represent the interests of African Americans. I wish someone would tell him that.

1. Sally Hemings had no choice.
If Alan West wants to identify with a historical American figure, he'd be better to identify with Patrick Henry: a man who ranted about freedom, but was one of the biggest and most brutal slave owners in Virginia.

4. I don't think you should be dragging Sally Hemings into this -
for the very reason stated in post #1.

5. Why did he choose a woman to compare himself to in the first place?
Perhaps because any comparison to a male Black civil rights leader would be too obvious of a stretch?
