Congressman Allen West (R-Crazytown) admits he's nuts. Or that he likes nuts. Or whatever else.

Okay, maybe not.

The local CAIR branch had send him a 600+ word letter respectfully asking him to distance himself from the likes of Pam Gellar and other incendiary Islamophobic personalities who he had previously shared stages with.

West's response, on official House stationary, simply said, "Nuts."

Perhaps Allen West is part squirrel. Or perhaps, Allen West (who no one ever, ever knew once served in the military and whose military service obviously never involved any scandals involving shooting off guns next to the head of an unarmed Iraqi detainnee) was trying to make some cute, adorable to General McAuliffe's famous statement to the German military in World War II.

Except demands from the German army to surrender somehow might be a little bit of a different situation than say, politely asking to tone down the hateful rhetoric and association with bigots, don't you agree?
