may be capitalizing on an expectation, not a reality.
As long as people believe that jobs have to be coming at some point along the way, (as if it is a common sense necessity) we will continue to cruise along on McPravda auto-pilot where apparitions and phrases are as good as real -- maybe more real than real these days.
The game changer might come when it finally sinks in that the jobs are not coming and your expectations won't make them appear. Since profit is the sole motivation for our corporatist country and its globalist agenda then, as we see, trans-national corporations are doing find and that is now all that matters. No, they are doing much better than fine in record breaking ways.
It is my opinion that we did not expect the unexpected, i.e., being economically broken-down as a people. Our new and burgeoning Underclass represents the pioneering wave of Neo-Serfs who are already feeling the effects and having to adapt to a new Feudalism. The US appears to be slated to become a Banana Republic.
So, that may seem to be unrealistic and so shocking that it is hard to believe. All that makes the difference now is where you live and if you are employed and also, what kind of employment you have. The folks whose boats are still afloat won't understand the massive changes and swings of the endless series of economic shocks that will take a large segment of our population down into a meager existence where liberty and justice no longer apply since money will be the only rule.
Echos of how on our own we are now, (which is an opportunity to adapt and try something new) still reverberate from the debacle of Katrina.
