My Gawd, Randians are fucking idiots
Silicon Valley billionaire reveals plan to launch floating 'start up country' off San Francisco
By DAILY MAIL REPORTER
Last updated at 7:46 AM on 11th August 2011

PayPal-founder Peter Thiel was so inspired by Atlas Shrugged - Ayn Rand's novel about free-market capitalism - that he's trying to make its title a reality.
The Silicon Valley billionaire has funnelled $1.25 million to the Seasteading Institute, an organization that aspires to launch a floating colony into international waters, freeing them and like-minded thinkers to live by Libertarian ideals.

Mr Thiel recently told Details magazine that: 'The United States Constitution had things you could do at the beginning that you couldn't do later. So the question is, can you go back to the beginning of things? How do you start over?'

The floating sovereign nations that Thiel imagines would be built on oil-rig-like platforms anchored in areas free of regulation, laws, and moral conventions.
The Seasteading Institute says it will 'give people the freedom to choose the government they want instead of being stuck with the government they get.'

3. I'm for it as long as he takes the teabaggers with him
And instead of building it on oil rig platforms, they should use garbage. That way they will have a constant reminder of who they are and where they came from.

7. $1.25 million wouldn't pay for a single footer of the platform.
Too funny ... a buncha libertarian tightwads trying to build utopia on the cheap. lolol

This is going to prove quite entertaining in more ways than one!

10. What, other than Slavery, can you do in the original document.
Well, the original before the 13th and 14th amendment. Maybe before the twelfth that changed the way we selected the Vice President. Or before the 11th that is arcane and involves who can sue a state and when. The Original document had no rights enshrined, as it was necessary to amend the Constitution with the bill of rights.

So is he pro slavery? or what?

21. In a truly Randian society, murder would be acceptable, provided you only killed the unheroic.
In fact, killing anyone there and taking their stuff would be a delightfully enlightened-selfish act for a true individualist superman to undertake. Those petty rules about protecting peoples' lives and property is the tool of the weak oppressing the genius of the elites. Those jealous worms deserve what they get. I can't be restrained by those antiquated and superstitious notions of morality that say murder is wrong when it benefits someone as awesome as me. As Ayn says...
"I love myself enough
to go & take their stuff
."

Amen, O Great One, Amen.

26. I was using "Randroid" years ago.
The reason is that they would never ever ever make the "second to last" post in a thread (meaning ALWAYS had to have the last word) online nor ever shut up in person. Prove them wrong a million times and on the one time past a million they will again spew out a Randroid though. Again and again.

I think it should be the #1 identifier.
