Perry Doesn’t Back Down From Fed ‘Treasonous’ Comments
’ Comments
By JEFF ZELENY
3:55 p.m. | Updated DUBUQUE, Iowa – Gov. Rick Perry did not back down on Tuesday, but he did not repeat his suggestion that the printing of money by the Federal Reserve during the election would be “treasonous,” and would warrant “ugly” treatment should the chairman, Ben S. Bernanke, pay a visit to Texas.

“Look, I’m just passionate about the issue,” Mr. Perry said, “and we stand by what we said.”

The comments from Mr. Perry, when he told an audience on Monday evening that the Fed should not print more money, provoked a swift and sharp rebuke from Republicans who worked in the administration of George W. Bush, who originally appointed Mr. Bernanke.

On the fourth day of his Republican presidential campaign, as Mr. Perry was introducing himself to Iowa voters, he sought to ignore the criticism. He did not directly address it during any of his stops and he declined to take questions from reporters, one day after he had talked at length on a variety of topics.

Cardinal rule of TBAGGER SURVIVAL. Bush never said he was sorry. Nor did he ever admit that he was wrong. Some fool is bound to believe the stupid stuff and that might be a vote a two.

7. For The Life Of Me I Can't Understand Why All Who Question Him Don't Always Ask That Question.....
I'm sure he has some smart aleck answer for it - but I would keep that thought out there in front of him every time he is fielding questions.

What I don't understand is he only declared his candidacy on Saturday. He didn't participate in any previous debates nor had he campaigned or participated in the Iowa circus. How did he become the front runner and the guy to beat so fast? Why is every cable news show pushing this guy? To me he was made by the MSM. He didn't have to lift a finger. I don't get it. Who put the word out that the MSM should push this guy?

8. Well, who knows what's treasonous better than a traitor?
But whatever he knows, we cannot trust what a traitor says.

9. Someone should print the Constitution's definition of treason on a cricket bat
And then roving gangs of people can carry cricket bats like those as mobile Boards of Education with the right - nay, duty - to hit people with them whenever they throw arbitrary, whatever-I-don't-like accusations of treason around.
