U.S. Drone Missiles Reportedly Kill Four In Tribal Area Of Pakistan
Edited on Tue Aug-16-11 03:44 PM by The Northerner
A U.S. drone missile strike has reportedly killed at least four suspected militants and wounded two others in Miramshah, Pakistan, the main city in the tribal area of North Waziristan, according to Pakistani officials. The United States does not normally confirm its drone strikes.

From Islamabad, Julie McCarthy filed this report for our Newscast unit:

According to the office of the political agent, the drone missiles struck a house and a nearby parked car in Miramshah as residents were beginning the pre-dawn Ramadan fast.

The U.S. administration insists that drone attacks have helped degrade the terror networks that use Pakistan as a sanctuary, including al-Qaeda. U.S. officials also say that they are a precision weapon that causes few civilian casualties.

Others dispute that. Dennis Blair, who was director of national intelligence from 2009 to 2010, wrote in The New York Times on Monday that "as the U.S. drone campaign wears on, hatred of America is increasing in Pakistan."

5. And dozens more 'terrorists' have just been created!
I wonder whose logic it is that by killing people, and we know that only 1 in 10 people murdered by those horrific and cowardly killing machines, are so-called 'terrorists', we are 'making America safer'?

Considering how the US reacted to 9/11 do they think other human beings, just because they are NOT Americans, will not react the same way to their innocent civilians being slaughtered? Are they supposed to just say 'thank you for blowing my baby to bits. I'm sure it was for a good cause'??

This country has lost its mind!

8. if Russia was doing this, what would our response be?
If Haiti was doing this, Cuba, Brazil, Germany, Ireland, Iceland, Norway, Poland or any other country in the world was killing citizens with drones, our generals would be up in arms and our state department would be decrying the loss of life.

But here, we watch them kill suspected terrorists in wedding parties, or groups of 4 people on farms that have to be insurgents.

I think our empire is getting out of hand and the only other country that is going to stop us is China. They will because they see

world domination in the terms of monetary gain along with military might.
