But the game of telephone doesn't stop there. Pretty soon we get "journalists" saying that Clinton said that he "got tickled to see Governor Perry enter the race . . ." And finally some are reporting that Clinton said that he was tickled that Governor Perry entered the race. It's sad that our public discourse has become so ridiculously stupid. It's dangerous too. Remember when Gore correctly said that he helped to create the internet. He was obviously talking about his legislative efforts to help set up the internet, but Rush modified the quote and soon even mainstream journalists were repeating the lie that Gore claimed that he invented the internet.
