Watching Obama speak at an economic forum in Iowa (on MSNBC
and I'm sure others, now).

I really much prefer it when he speaks extemporaneously - his emotions and convictions come through.

I'd give anything to see what goes on in those closed door meetings and negotiations. We'd know what he really did, said instead of hearing his prepared summary speech.

And I have to say again, the guy could do stand-up. Flawless presentation and timing.

1. I'm watching Chuckie Todd
talking about the President speaking. You must have a different MSNBC than me.

3. They cut away (and then Obama finished shortly thereafter). And
I was wrong - I checked CNN and all three C-Spans and none of them were covering it.

I think these are just short visits to places and he says a few words then hits the road. I'm guessing he's not going to be dropping any bombs, so getting a crew set up, etc., may not be viable?

2. I don't think he's good enough to do standup. But he's much better than average.
I'm not watching this particular shindig, though, so maybe he's hitting it out of the park.

4. No -- I've seen him do much better, but I was just reminded
of how funny he CAN be when he wants to. This probably wasn't the right venue to leave them rolling in the aisles. He was speaking, heart-felt, I thought, about how tough it is for so many people.
