1. I remember that came up some in the 2000 campaign
It really isn't a very powerful position. But I think that kind of nuance is lost on most people, at least outside of Texas.

2. We went through that already: it did no good
We cited the last-in-the-nation education results, drop-out rates, low-paying jobs, lax regulations, etc. ... GWB still won twice.

6. Because the corporate supremacists and their corporate media propaganda machine
don't want the American People to have strong political leadership representing their best interests, they prefer the most powerful office in the land to be occupied by an "all hat and no cattle" corporate puppet.
