but this one is kind of smart. He DID grow up in a shack without running water, and I'm not going to hold it against him. What I do hold against him is what little he is doing for those that grew up in crippling poverty just like he did.

I never understand that about conservatives. My father grew up in such poverty that he dug his feet into the dirt to keep them warm while waiting for the school bus because not all the kids could afford shoes. That was his telling of it in the early 1940's in MS Then they turn around and say everyone should experience that. The probable link is my dad went military because it was the only hope he had.
