Most don't give a damn about the well being of their nation.

2. Ummm...
His rhetoric does not impress me.

If he wants to pay more taxes, he can do it voluntarily. Nobody's stopping him.

Just sayin'.

3. That's not the important point
Publicly demonstrating what every rich person should be doing is a form of advocacy.

6. that a bush talking point
He use to say all the time if liberals want to pay more taxes nothings stoppiing them. Liberals want a return to a truly progressive taxation payment plan. If it
means higher taxes for u it is only beause you are doing better $$ wise.than before.

If you want to tweak warren I suggest questioning him using his $$ like the koch brothers to get people elected that think like him. Words are cheap. Buffett can afford.to be a king maker.

4. Oh, he's done his share of buying up companies, shutting them down and outsourcing production.
It doesn't take much to be a hero for some people, though.

9. You have no clue about Buffett and Berkshire - they do not do that
He is a passive investor - his big stakes are in companies that have net US job growth like Coca-Cola and GEICO.

13. appreciating his public call-out to other wealthy Americans doesn't
make him a "hero"- It DOES merit a positive response imo.

There aren't a lot of rich people willing to make that statement.

Has it gotten to the point that we can't acknowledge when people do good things? What a f--d up attitude that is.

8. It's sad that a wealthy guy with morals is a rare breed today
He was on Charlie Rose last night, BTW. Worth finding the rerun or online.

11. He's just smarter than the most billionaires.
He knows that if the country works, he makes more money. That's cool. He does it legally and pays his taxes. It's the idiots who want to rule over a bankrupt nation that don't get it.

Warren Buffet for Budget Director. Or Sec. of Treasury. Fire timmy's ass.
