It Looks To Me Like The MSM Is Making Perry The One To Beat.......
The Repug candidates for the Repug nomination for president have been at it for about 2 to 3 months now - if not longer. Suddenly - over the weekend - Perry has become the one to beat - and he just announced his candidacy Saturday. Every cable news show today was touting Perry. I really bet that the majority of Americans know absolutely nothing about this guy or would even be able to pick him out of a line-up of infamous Repugs - BUT - he is now the front runner. I don't get it. I thought it was the American people that were supposed to pick their candidates - not the MSM. It looks now that the MSM has their boy all picked out for us. I don't know - but I have this feeling that there is a big, deep dark skeleton in Perry's closet. I'm betting that he'll blow out before he catches on too much.

2. Our democracy is in critical condition
With fox news being the propaganda arm of the repub party and the spineless corporate media more concerned with ratings and the entertainment value of our electoral process, the election of decent, serious candidates to try to promote the betterment of our society is getting more difficult with each election cycle.

3. They're trying, just as they did with Palin. But Perry is stupid and
mean-spirited, and the primary season is long. A Macaca moment may be waiting in the wings for him.

5. Same thing happened when Fred Thompson entered the race late last time
The freepers were just about creaming their jeans over Fred entering the race.

That lasted about a week or two.

Lets wait and see how this guy does under a little scrutiny by his own party before we take this him too seriously.
