Bill Clinton 'Tickled' To See Rick Perry Join GOP Race
Jon Terbush

Bill Clinton was "tickled" when Rick Perry joined the Republican presidential primary race because, he said, Perry's hard anti-Washington stance is "crazy."

As The New York Observer reported, Clinton knocked the current Texas governor while speaking at a firefighters' conference in Manhattan on Monday, saying that Perry's calls to whittle the size of the federal government were nonsensical and would harm the economy recovery.

“He’s saying ‘Oh, I’m going to Washington to make sure that the federal government stays as far away from you as possible while I ride on Air Force One and the Marine One helicopter, and go to Camp David, and travel around the world, and have a good time,'" Clinton said. "I mean, this is crazy.”

"There is not a single solitary successful nation on earth today that does not have both effective government and a good economy," he added.

Clinton did have some kind words for Perry, sort of, calling him a, "good looking rascal."

1. But... I've already read several RW comments about how he is energizing them again.
Never assume that insanity is enough to sway voters.

If they don't seriously try to take him down we may well get President Perry in 2012.

2. Perry has so much baggage we Dems can throw against him...he's only their wet dream.
It's just that the Media Whores on Cables need to have that conflict to keep their vieweships up. If you think about it..it's what they keep doing. Pushing trash to the masses assuming they don't get it. But, I think folks are waking up and this time it won't work. imho..of course...but, my sense of the idiocy of Perry candidacy that they think they can scare us all with..to keep us tuned in.

4. Bill Clinton...He damned well knew how to TALK THE TALK to the Idiot Repugs...
So sad...he gave away so much to their Milton Friedman Philosophy, though. DLC Founder. But, he thought that was the "New Way." Some of us here, including myself, sadly, bought into that "for a time" also. It wasn't until the jobs did the GREAT SUCKING SOUND (like Ross Perot) said would happen and then "MonicaGate" took over that we started to wake up about the total Corruption of our SYSTEM OF GOVT.

:-( It's up to all of us to Pick Up the Pieces and try to rebuild what we thought we learned (pre--1980's) about how our Government was Set Up and Supposed to Work for US...We the PEOPLE!)

Hard slog through all of this. But, if Nixon had been IMPEACHED...the Political Crime would have lessened. I've always thought that letting Nixon off was the start of what we've seen playing out today. But...it's just IMHO.....so worth little, I suppose.
