He, personally, his suggestion was that SSI cuts be included in the debt ceiling increase. Luckily, the Repugs are so stupid that they rejected their own plan only because it didn't totally end SSI, which is their goal.

Obama has been and still is the upfront and most fervent supporter of cuts to SSI. He says he supports strenghtening the program, but that's bogus and the same lie that's spouted by Repugs.
