Hours after Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann was declared the winner of the Ames Straw Poll, singer Cher suggested her husband Marcus Bachmann is gay.
“On cover of Newsweek under M. Bachmann's picture it said 'Queen of Rage,' but there's only 'One Raging Queen' in her house! Not mine!” Cher messaged to her more than 311,000 followers.
Moments later she added, “Its not kind, &u know my feelings bout being Gay! No Excuse 4me, & feel bad 4 him but look at the suicide in her district & look at his job,” referring to allegations that the Christian family clinics run by Marcus Bachmann attempt to “cure” gay people.
“I WOULDN'T VOTE 4 YOUR GAY HATING, BULLY LOVING, POSER CHRISTIAN ASS!” she tweeted earlier this month after receiving literature from Bachmann's presidential campaign.

As a Gay person, I am greatly offended by people who rail against Gays as being shameful, as the Bachmanns state. Marcus Bachmann says GLBT teens are just barbarians who need to be disciplined, and she said that GLBT people live in "bondage" because of being gay.
I am strongly in support of challenging the hypocritical men or women who are questionably self-hating and closeted, who then go after GLBT rights - and that's where it is specifically okay to challenge them as such, because of the inflicted suffering to gay kids and adults. Many people that are deeply involved in starting these ex-gay clinics are homosexuals trying to make themselves heterosexual. I personally "lost" a close-friend to their efforts to 'pray away the gay'. This old friend told me he wasn't judging my devotion to God, but it was his opinion that God doesn't want us to live like that, shortly after being involved with a group who tries to change your sexuality. How unsurprising.
This is specifically about calling out someone who works on behalf of organizations that harm GLBT people, where there are several GLBT or GLBT-friendly people accusing said person to be ashamed of their sexuality and working against the rights of Gays (like that elderly Indiana State Rep, Hinkle, who like many before him, worked on legislation against GLBT rights and yet, was caught seeking same-sex relations with a teenager behind everyone's eyes.) And, in Michelle's case, she wants to become president and that's very important then to confront them on this. She hold very anti-gay views and therefore you can be assured that she will work against Gay Rights (as she has already promised to change DADT if elected president).
When I think about Michele Bachmann's voice going on about Gay people living in "bondage" in that audio clip, I think perhaps that she's got that opinion because it appears to many of us that her views are probably based on what many perceive as her husband's own bondage in being married to her. I think it's a safe bet to rationalize that he's a self-loather and runs that clinic to try and force himself from acting upon his natural inclinations. What a horrible life, and certainly what many would ultimately call "bondage".
