Would have seemed completely logical to ask her, "Is that you hiding behind the bush at this Gay Rights rally?" Wouldn't it seem like a normal question to ask her? ? It is part of her background, isn't it? You know damn well every host is aware of this photo. Why no questions about it?

9. Here you go
The bushes

Early in her state Senate career Bachmann was caught spying on a pro-gay-rights rally by hiding behind bushes. This incident occurred after she was profiled in the Star Tribune and photographed vacuuming in heels (see LaFave's letter to the newspaper above). If there is one thing that's out of touch with voters in the 6th District, it's hiding in the bushes (unless to hunt) and vacuuming in heels.

This year independent minded voters in the 6th District may have had enough of the bright lights that accompany Bachmann. The economy and energy may have given Tinklenberg a chance to be competitive in this race, but it's Bachmann herself who has presented Tinklenberg and the DFL an opportunity they will never get again...

13. Or maybe the spear's head was trying to see where he was shopping?
Dr. Bachmann has played a central role in Michele Bachmann's meteoric political ascent — particularly when it comes to her wardrobe.

A self-described "strategist" for his wife's campaign, Dr. Bachmann is the Congresswoman's body man, image consultant, and personal shopper. It's an important campaign role for any female politician and one Dr. Bachmann apparently does well.

"He's got a good sense of style," Michele Bachmann told the Minneapolis Star Tribune in 2006, adding that before an event with then-Vice President Dick Cheney, Dr. Bachmann hit the stores for his wife and came home with "a sleek, simple hourglass dress with a yoke collar in winter white....I just slipped it on."

That looks more like a lamppost. She would have better off just hiding in plain sight.

16. Not that it matters, but...
when I enlarged the photo for better viewing I noticed that the person said to be Ms Bachmann is actually sitting on a very low "wall" of some sort facing the street. How that translates into "spying", I don't know.

Also, every link that came up said she had been "caught" spying. Really? Does someone have a photo that actually, like, SHOWS HER FACE???

I mean, I know it's just a tiny detail and all, but those two people could be anyone unless someone has a photo from a different angle that clearly shows her sitting there on that wall.

And even then, why would sitting on the wall be construed as "spying"? And why, exactly, would she WANT to "spy"?

See, it's shit like this that makes me shake my head and wonder if I've entered some alternate universe....

18. She should have been given the opportunity to say the Minneapolis Post was incorrect in their report
If it wasn't her that is.

You would think this is something she would want to put to rest if it wasn't true.

19. Damned if you do, damned if you don't
She didn't deny it, so it must be true.

OTOH, if she had denied it, people would be saying she protests too much so it must be true.

Sometimes the best thing to say is nothing at all. Because some things are too ridiculous to deserve a particle of attention.

Really...there aren't enough real, serious issues to use against her without having to resort to this crap?

Sort of reminds me of the Birthers and their incessantly idiotic claims that Obama isn't a US citizen. They have absolutely no proof whatsoever, but good god, that sure doesn't stop them.
