My Sarah Palin prediction...
First and foremost, she will NOT run for President...she wants influence but not the hard work that comes with the job, and she doesn't want the pay cut.

Second, Mama Grizzlies notwithstanding, she sees Michele Bachmann as muscling in on her territory.

Third, she doesn't want the embarrassment of backing a loser.

Therefore, she'll milk the bus tour as long as she can, and then encore Rick Perry for President. She can argue that she was thinking about running, but somebody (who has an actual chance of winning the nomination) got into the race who espouses the Tea Party/economic/social issues mantra she "cares about".

You read it here first.

1. Secy of State?
After all, she's been to India and lived close to Russia.

2. Her value goes to 0 the minute she says she is not running
so to milk those speaking fees, sell them books and scam the bus rides, she will continue to pretend.
And, as in many other things, our media continues to pretend also.

3. Sarah wants money not influence.
Look at what she's done, she left the Governor job because she could make lots of money. She uses her fame and notoriety to boost her ability to make money. She is just your typical greedy Republican who knows she hasn't got enough brain cells to operate a more conventional business, so she uses her looks and mouth to make money.

4. Did you hear her comments on Pawlenty's dropping out
of the race?
She is an attention whore - clearly she's about to back Perry

10. Here

<snip>

SARAH PALIN: NBC's Alex Moe reports from Springfield, IL, that Palin told NBC News at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum, "I think we will see more people coming and going" in this campaign cycle. "I hate to see that internal party events would be seen as the barometer for somebody to stay in the race or not. I would love to have seen Pawlenty stay in there and allow the voters to decide not internal political machinery decide who should be in the race and who should not. So I am disappointed that he has dropped out. Pawlenty, he is a good man who worked very hard, had a good record as a governor. He knew how to get along with the boys in the sandbox. He knew when and how to compromise in order to get things done in a blue state - a Republican in a blue state being effective. I have great respect for him and a lot of his staff members too, good guys, good gals. He has a great family. So I really, really hope the best for Gov. Pawlenty; he is a good man, and disappointed that he dropped out.

6. The Freepers do not like her much either
She is losing relevancy very quick. According to them she quit the last real job that she had.

7. Sarah's biggest concern is protecting her cash flow stream
I agree she will not get into the race but the upside for her is if Republicans lose she can make the rounds criticizing them and claiming that if they had only listened to her things would be different.

13. I like the way you think. My own thoughts have been trending
towards a Repuke animal-cruelty run-off.

Let's see:

Bill Frist took cats from rescue shelters so that he could kill them and cut them up
Mitt Romney placed his dog inside a pet carrier and strapped it to the roof of the family car for a 12-hour car trip
Sarah Palin shot (and presumably still shoots) defenseless animals from helicopters

I'm sure the Repuke candidates have other instances of animal cruelty that have not come to light. After all, that's how many sociopaths get their start, according to the psychological literature.

14. I like the description of her I heard earlier in the week
When asked about whether she would run for president someone declared:

"She's a private citizen who enjoys media attention", pretty much indicating she will never run for a political office again. I agree.

15. She can gin up the Republican Base and keep them motivated
to get to the Polls. This makes her highly valuable
and a player. I agree she will be there helping
Rick Perry and in the end--endorse him. Unless
he does some royal screw up on his own.

16. I think Sista Sarah has a Michelle problem
Bachmann appears to be in it for the long haul which will gain her significant name recognition/cred among Sista Sarahs rubes . . . er base.

Once the primary is over, Sista Sarah and Bachmann will be marketing the same product, with Bachmann being the newer/fresher/crazier.

I see a cash flow problem starting for Sista Sarah in Q2.

17. I believe that she is deluded enough to believe that Rethugs
will be so disenchanted with their options that they will simply draft her at the convention.

In that way, she avoids doing any of the nitty-gritty real work of campaigning for the nomination but still manages to suck air from all the other candidates.

If drafting her does happen (and in today's Republican Party literally anything is possible, with crazier being more possible and craziest being most), she will still refuse to be interviewed or to debate unless she vets all the questions/interviewers first.

But, I concur, drafting her is a VERY long shot. As for her endorsing Perry or any other Republican candidate if my scenario doesn't play out (LOL), IMO, she will go with whoever pays her the most or the one with whom she sees her own personal interests best served, although possibly not Romney even then. Her brand of "religion" would have major difficulty with her endorsing Romney.

19. Agreed
I've suspected that she's been jealous of Bachmann, and after this weekend, it's pretty much confirmed in my mind.

She'd have more influence in a Rick Perry administration, even if she were not officially part of it, than she would in a Mitt Romney or a Michelle Bachmann one. Either way, she can still sell her books, and make the big bucks from Faux Snooze.
