Hysterical Michele Bachmann flees Teenage Gay Activist
After arriving 30 minutes late to speak at the Iowa State Fair on Friday, presidential candidate Michele Bachmann spoke only three minutes then fled the event after being heckled by a gay-rights advocate, the Huffington Post reported. Gabe Aderhold, a 17-year-old from Edina, Minn., yelled, “Shame on you,” several times at Bachmann. Aderhold had confronted other Republican candidates earlier in the day about their opposition to LGBT equality.

“I’m a second class citizen because of you, Michele! Second class citizen! What about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for every American, Michele?” Aderhold yelled at Bachmann.

HuffPo reported that just moments after Aderhold began to heckle her, Bachmann and her entourage, which included bodyguards, moved quickly from the stage and through the crowd, at a pace rapid enough that some spectators appeared to get lightly shoved out of the way. She jumped on a golf cart with her aides and fled.

Bachmann, who made demonization of gay people the focal point of her early political career, won today’s Ames Straw Poll, which is decided mostly by fundamentalist Christian GOP activists. U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, placed a close second. The poll is considered an early test of the GOP’s crowded presidential field. No Republican can win the party’s presidential nomination without a stamp of approval from the party’s anti-gay fringe voters.

1. Shortly after winning the straw poll, Bachmann demonstrates her GOP values clearly
and why she should be completely and utterly rejected by every single American, and she should be gerrymandered out already if MN hasn't done so yet.

3. Bachmann has a well developed persecution complex and is
convinced that people want to do her physical harm. I'd love to say she's wrong, but who the hell would have thought that Gabrielle Giffords would be a target?

Still - Bachmann is very panicky.

Bachmann Feared Abduction by Lesbian, Ex-Nun
By Jeffrey Hartinger

Rep. Michele Bachmann, who is now seeking the Republication presidential nomination, had claimed in 2005 that she was almost abducted by two women in a bathroom, according to The Daily Beast.

The pair consisted of a lesbian and an ex-nun.

At the time of the alleged attempted kidnapping, Bachmann was a state senator from Minnesota and had already started to campaign against LGBT rights. She had previously been caught hiding in the bushes of a gay rights event.

25. Republicans live in a hermetically sealed information bubble
Anything that counters their worldview elicits an emotional reaction from them. If you disagree with them, or ask them for evidence to back their claims, they either flee or lose their temper. This sort of behavior from them is highly predictable.

Democrats need to keep this sort of pressure up because the RW cannot handle it. It exposes them and makes them look weak.

5. She is generally refusing any discussion of her position on LGBT issues...
I think I heard Ezra say on MSNBC recently. So this fits perfectly. BTW, that takes guts to do in some crowds.

8. Which is kind of unexpected...
since she founded her political career in MN on demonizing gays. That's her bread and butter.

23. Don Lemon, CNN, was a recipient of Bachmann shoving (while they were fleeing?)
CNN anchor Don Lemon reports that members of the campaign team for Rep. Michele Bachmann, including her husband, Marcus Bachmann, shoved him after an event for the candidate in Des Moines on Friday.

According to CNN, Lemon and another reporter from the network were among a ring of press and supporters that surrounded Bachmann after she spoke briefly at the Iowa State Fair and tried to make her way to a drive cart to exit.

“As both CNN staffers tried to question Bachmann, Lemon said he was pushed by two members of Bachmann’s staff,” reports CNN. “Lemon also said that Marcus Bachmann, the congresswoman’s husband, pushed him.”

As the clip below indicates, the gay anchor tried to ask Bachmann respectful questions about her debate performance Thursday and her expectations for the Ames Straw Poll, which takes place today.

Lemon said afterward, “I told them, asked them not to elbow me. And then her husband, Marcu,s started doing the same thing. And then he elbowed me into the cart. And I said, ‘You just pushed me into the cart.’ And he goes, ‘No, you did it yourself.’”

31. IF her husband ever gets caught in a compromising situation....

To be fair. A persons personality, body language, mannerisms, etc. don't make them gay. I hate people that stereotype. I only used the subject in humor. I hope DUers understand.

But since Rep. Bachmann took shots at Michelle Obama in 08, but declared her husband off limits I don't mind taking a shot at a fair target.

OS
