Tea Party Backed Group Caught Tampering With Wisconsin Recall Elections

It’s not as if the country needed anymore proof that Republicans in Wisconsin will stoop to any level to win an election. Now The Americans For Prosperity, a right wing organization funded by Tea Party (The Egomaniacs of America) organizer David Koch, has sent absentee ballots for the upcoming recall elections to 2 heavily Democratic districts to Democratic voters.

According to the included letter, the ballots were sent out of the goodness of their hearts to make it easier on absentee voters to have their voices heard and their votes counted. There was just one problem. The ballots instructed voters to return them by August 11th, 2011. 2 days too late for the votes to be counted. The election is on August 9th.

According to Politico:

One flier was discovered in Hudson, Wisc. where Democrat Shelly Moore is attempting to upend GOP State Sen. Sheila Harsdorf in District 10; the other was found in Kaukauna, where Democrat Nancy Nusbaum is challenging Sen. Robert Cowles in District 2.

1. Two questions: 1) Anyone going to prison over this?
and, 2) Why not?

3. 1) 'No'
2) It's just some light-hearted joshing!

They justify this with shit like; "Well, if they can't be bothered to learn the process."

The real joke is the level of irony lost on them.

2. We loose enought to fraud...
It's about time to prosecute someone for this crap.

I heard yesterday, someone said that 1000 people went to prison for the S&L problems.
why don't we ever hear about about justice being served!!???

4. Also, the reply address was not the "absentee ballot center".

It was a group called "Wisconsin Family Action"! (yea, it's basically what it sounds like)

You have to hand it to them. It looks like they combined a caging operation with a deception campaign and I'm sure they'll get away with it too.
