1. Hush. Don't bring facts into it.
You're spoiling the narrative. :P

I seriously wonder how many of the people who are sharing in these narratives have on-the-ground experience actually doing election protection work.

3. No.
We watched them like hawks. I don't think there was in the SC race either. Because I was there at the recount. We verified ballots against machine totals.

And yeah, there were bags that had issues with seals and not being properly secured and that sucks because it left the possibility of tampering open. HOWEVER, we counted those bags separately. If there was fraud, I would have expected those tampered bags to weigh more heavily for Prosser. They didn't. Not even close. I *wanted* them to so badly, but they didn't. Some even weighed more for Kloppenburg. I *wanted* them to be stuffed with extra ballots and the counts to be way off from canvass. But they weren't. I am a data geek and crunched my lil heart out. The net result I took away: there was a LOT of slop with the handling of ballots but no evidence of any fraud. The preventive and real action I can take is to observe the polls to make sure things are done right. And I am working with MANY others to do just that.

50. The counts will always match - at least closely- when ballot bags are stuffed
You can take a bag that had, say, 450 Klop ballots in it and 325 Prosser, and it could still have been stuffed for Prosser, by padding his total and skimming from Klop's. As much as we watched like hawks, we had no eyes to see into what was done before the recount began, nor after the ballots and other election materials were taken back to KN's office every evening at 5:30 or so during the recount. There is a mountain of circumstantial evidence that suggests election fraud in the SC election, and enough of the same to make the results of the recall suspect.

14. Again. ONE person mistakenly believed there was no exit polling,
you inflate that to 'people' and thus dismiss any suggestion that there might have been any shenanigans. You were on the ground in ONE place - you have no idea what really went on elsewhere.

Reality: there was no evidence of fraud where YOU were. You can't honestly say you know anything more than that.

The OP doesn't say anything about "shenanigans" generally. But surely it hasn't escaped your notice that a bunch of DUers who weren't on the ground ANY place nonetheless are insisting that there was fraud. Do you have a problem with pointing that out?

I've been watching this for years. Some people scream bloody murder, other people comment on the absence of blood, and then they're in for it. I find it... strange.

I don't believe for a moment that PeaceNikki "can't honestly say" she knows anything more than what she saw. I'm pretty sure she has looked at the election returns. As far as I can tell, the election returns don't give a good reason to single out Waukesha County. If you think otherwise, say why.

(edit to correct silly extra negative)

18. for what it's worth
one argument here is that if the scanners were hacked, there really wouldn't be much for the poll-watchers to see. And that's true. One would have to examine the paper ballots.

It seems pretty clear that hacking in Waukesha County can't plausibly explain the outcome in the Darling race. If someone wants to conjecture that scanners were hacked throughout the district, well, I suppose s/he should move heaven and earth to get at least some of the ballots examined.

All that said, the Supreme Court election did expose some real problems that ought to be fixed. I think paper ballots are great, but they're better if the seals actually, y'know, seal. (However, I don't know anyone who has looked at the numbers who thinks that those bags were actually tampered with en masse.)

51. Yes there was a not-so-small army out there Tuesday night and Wednesday morning
And while PN's experiences were representative of SOME volunteers, they certainly are not represenative of MANY OTHER observers'. We are not an army of PN's. We are are an army of individuals with different experience levels and personalities, who observe in different places with different issues going on.

21. I never said EDA was doing anything wrong. They weren't shut down.
They lost valuable time and the GAB went to bat for them, in fact. Kevin Kennedy himself showed up there. I don't know who or what groups the other posters referred to. I only know of an actual shutdown from the primary and GAB made a statement about that.

Most precincts had exit polls. Even in Waukesha County. Without problems.

25. There have been posts saying exit polls were shut down. That only happens when you break the rules.
You'll have to get details from the people making those claims. The point I was making is that lots of exit polls occurred without a problem. The GAB won't shut you when you do it right.

30. in fairness, sometimes officials don't know the rules
Exit pollsters have been having these struggles for many years. I wouldn't be surprised if EDA ran into trouble in some places where it wasn't doing anything wrong at all.

However, I don't think I've seen anything credible about the exit polls actually being "shut down" anywhere. (I may be missing it, of course.) My impression is that the disputes were over whether they could interview within 100 feet of the polling place, and specifically how close they could be. Nothing new about any of that.

just beating a dead horse.

I mean, then have already stolen so many I guess we should just let them.

who needs elections?

It should be clear to everyone by now, why they let Obama win the last one. They needed someone to take the blame for their mess.

Then, the tea party with their amazing popularity

swept the house and are now prepared to steal America's retirement and medical care...

I should just shut up though...beating a dead horse....I'll just keep letting the corporate media decide what I should think

Because it seems like you've been not quite so clear on that. Your OP seems to suggest that they were breaking the rules. Then when another poster asks you what rules they broke, you said that they did nothing wrong. If they did nothing wrong, then your OP is invalid. So what is it?

23. what were the other exit poll results?

Do you think that when you observed the ballots being put through the machine at the polling station, that counts as verification of no vote fraud?

The machines counting the vote can be hacked. Have you seen Howard Dean in Hack the vote?

If no one actually counts the ballots, looks at the ballots and verifies...there is no way of knowing.

Since no one is questioning, they don't even have to fix the recount like they did in the supreme court race last time.
