3 things I've decided about the events of last weekend.
Edited on Mon Jan-10-11 11:23 PM by Warren Stupidity
1) anyone claiming equivalency between the left and the right regarding violent rhetoric, or claiming that there is no connection between the three year coordinated barrage of violent rhetoric from the right and this shooting, is a liar, very confused, or an idiot, or quite likely all three.

2) this shooting was a direct result of the mind-bogglingly irresponsible lunatic hate filled gun enamored rhetoric that has been pouring out of the rightwing mass media noise machine against ALL OF US for years.

3) our cave in on gun control was one of the stupidest acts of many stupid acts our party has committed over the last 20 years. You have a right to keep and bear arms, it is in the constitution. That does not mean we don't have a right to restrict what arms you may keep and bear and how you may keep and bear them.

1. Correct on all points. But don't expect any commercial media to let you voice them.

11. the court that decided that corporations are people
and cannot be constrained from buying elections? That court? Yes of course that court can make lots of bad decisions and probably will. That will not change my opinion about what should be done.

12. Today's Supreme Court selected Bush and said it wasn't to ever be used as precedent
We must face another fact. Our Supreme Court is corrupt.

10. 4) As long as people continue to sweep this under the rug,
more violence will ensue, sadly.

13. this is what really bothers me. in their oh so higher ground, tone down the rhetoric, MORE harm
comes of this.

we cannot, once again, pretend the right did not do what they did. that it did not have consequence. because the next time, it will not only be on the talk haters shoulders, the politicians that use hate for a vote or the people that voted for them. the next time, it will be on the shoulders of people that gave the rw a pass on this. because they are condoning the rights behavior.

it does not behoove any of us.

rw has to own it. we have to be clear, they own it. or it doesnt stop

it is called, enablers.
