nytimes: Perry Leads Prayer Rally for ‘Nation in Crisis'
what fucking crisis?

**************

here are the words of a soon to be presidential candidate:

Father, our heart breaks for America. We see discord at home. We see fear in the marketplace. We see anger in the halls of government, and as a nation we have forgotten

who made us, who protects us, who blesses us, and for that we cry out for your forgiveness.”

2. I'll excuse the kids in attendance
But the adults are pathetic losers, including all the elderly. What better definition is there for someone who doesn't want to have to do things to enact change and instead just WISHES for it?

3. Looks like they got a pretty good turnout.
Not sure what the results of the Lord's forgiveness would be. Will be interesting to see what blessings will emanate from this gathering. I'd settle for a few lightning bolts let loose on Perry and his cronies, but I used to hope the bolts would find Bush and pals, and it never happened. What's that old saying? Leave 'em to the devil? Whatever. I give up.

6. Really?
I see a lot of empty seats. I'm guessing other than friends and family, most of those of the 8,000 or so are from local mega-churches.

4. So, are we going to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, give medicine to
the sick? Caring for, and being your brother's keeper????
Ya'know the core Christian things Jesus talked about over and over???

Nah!!!

But we're gonna hate gays and women's rights!!!
