Rick Perry's college life revealed...wow, just like Shrub's!

"“I was probably a bit of a free spirit, not particularly structured real well for life outside of a military regime, ” he said in the 1989 interview. “I would have not lasted at Texas Tech or the University of Texas. I would have hit the fraternity scene and lasted about one semester.”

Like Shrub, he had a 2.5 grade average
joined the Air Force....
chose the military cadet corp of his college, Texas A&M

and you will really enjoy this great "does it really look like Hitler???" pic of Perry in his uniform.

All at the link: Texas Tribune reveals Perry's college years.

3. He would have hit the fraternity scene and lasted 1 semester. Why would he brag
about that? Typical right wing frat boy buffoon.

11. I doubt he ok'ed the transcript release - but there are alot of good ole
boys (and girls) who aren't going to care about that at all. Sarah Palin's lack of education seemed to appeal to them, and his will too.

4. Perry recalled how Sharp, at a stoplight in Hillsboro, once intimidated a group of motorcycle thugs
by eating live crickets.
Sounds like he is also full of shit.

5. Texas Ass & Mouth has a military regime?
Who'd have thought those guys in state-trooper uniforms were a military regime? (I'm half kidding, you have to understand the teasing Big 12 schools lob at each other)

9. as in NEEDS structure.
Actually, if you think about it, the Presidency of late seems to provide that.

Every minute is scheduled, people write your speeches, the corpocracy tells you what to do......
jeez, Ronnie managed to lurch thru TWO terms, and no telling when his mind started to go.
And how the hell do you explain Shrub even being able to get himself dressed, much less walk a straight line?

12. My view is not that cynical
I see it as having total assistance - I'm a bit jealous. I'd love to be able to say I need such and such and have it done!

I'm a big picture type.

True some of it is ceremonial and might be a drag - all those events to attend. But if you want some information about a thing all you have to do is ask. Research done for you on request and reported to you by top people, so clearly and succinctly.

Not having to drive and having a plane at your command! You can read newspapers and reports rather than deal with traffic. Which you don't have to deal with because the road is cleared for you.

Sure they can use it that way and GWB and Reagan probably did, and here we see that Perry would do the same.

10. Have we seen Mr. Obama's college transcript?
I'm sure it's not as bad as Perry's, but I think many of us have undergraduate classes we'd retake if we could. My D in meteorology wasn't great for example, although I did squeak out with a 3.0.
