OK, if the Repugs got "98% of what they wanted . . ."
In the debt ceiling fight, and the stock market tanks in response, doesn't that mean the Repugs OWN the lousy economy?

1. They'll claim that the remaining 2% would have fixed everything if not for Obama the radical Liberal

2. I believe as part of the negotiations Obama agreed to take part of the blame for the debacle and
have the rest of the blame assigned to those obnoxious liberals.

3. In the real world yes, but they live in a fantasy
I agree with others who say they will spin it to mean the last 2% would have made the difference. I don't understand how poll after poll agreed with the democrats to cut out the corporate welfare and end the Bush tax cuts for the rich AND the flood of emails, faxes and call after President Obama encouraged the country to do just that, fell on deaf ears in Congress. When I heard of the 500pt drop I started to wonder if the Democrats would have walked away at the last minute and we did default, or President pull some trick out of his sleeve could we be any worse than we are now?

5. The weeping boner didn't
say the republicans got 98% of what they wanted, he said HE got 98% of what he wanted. He wanted it to be over, because his inability to control the teabaggers made him look as weak as he really is. And he wanted to keep his gig as weeper, I mean speaker of the house. And he wanted to take the rest of the month off, because not solving the country's problems is hard work. And, of course, he wanted several large drinks, and a few smokes. So, yeah, he got 98% of what he wanted.

7. You gotta admit the conservatives are MUCH better politicians than liberals.
They skewer us over and over and no one in our party can do a damn thing about it.
