Pawn shop owner battles A&E for name
Frank Bishop runs the "Pawn-Star" pawnshop in New Port Richey. "Started in February 2006, opened my doors May 5th, 2006," he said. "You get a lot of cool stuff that comes through the door."

Recently, he saw something that completely caught him off guard: it wasn't an antique gun but a notice of infringement from a law firm representing A & E Television Networks, owners of the popular "Pawn Stars" TV show. His initial thoughts... "I cant say it on TV, but yeah, uh oh," Bishop recalled.

The letter says the firm recently noticed his Facebook page for his Pawn-Star shop. It goes on and gets worse for the small shop owner.

"My use of "pawn star" improperly trades off the good will off AETN 'Pawn Stars' mark and constitutes fraud...your referenced use has already caused confusion and misdirected consumers to your Facebook page," Bishop read

2. Don't even negotiate with them Frank.

They are vultures and they will give you pennies on the dollar on what ever you think about agreeing to.

Get a team of lawyers, not just one, who are experienced in arguing cases similar to this one.
