1. Whew! That was a wild ride down. Now...
Where do we go from here? Is this the beginning of the long-feared financial system collapse or just the bottom of another cycle?

beginning to recover) from its peak of 14164 on October 9, 2007, a span of 17 months."

At this point, we're two weeks into this crisis. Where it goes no one knows.

14. I have been seething with anger for a week now
people around me, my neighborhood are pissed off... these assholes just don't get it. They really seem sure that when people get fired up and angry toward the upper classes, that somehow it will never effect them. Do they not understand or read history? This is no good for ANYONE!

Hey, I'm sorry for your losses... I've worked hard my whole life, played by the rules, paid for my own college tuition so I could have a better life than my immigrant parents who dealt with WWII in their own backyards. Then I get to read some well-to-do schmuck tell me I don't have it so bad... man, the audacity and balls to say such a thing when you aren't the one who has to suffer. One cannot honestly love a country and not care about the people in it... sorry, it doesn't work that way.

4. Here is the nutshell.
1. George W Bush squandered our treasury to the point of disaster.
2. Barack Obama needs the cooperation of all parties to repair the damage.
3. The Tea Bagger candidates are elected using Koch money.
4. Right wingers want the economy to fail so they can blame Obama and get re-elected
5. The deceitful trick worked.

5. This is nothing more than a Wall Street power-play to grab Social Security
This drop in the market is all about putting pressure on the Democrats to kill off Social Security in the upcoming Super-Congress

7. Not a good time to bring up Privatizing SS though
So, if that's what they're after, I don't think it's making the case .
