2. The protesters in Tahrir Square were not violent.

The authorities were. And if Americans tried anything like what the Egyptians did the mercenaries and militarized cops would insure that the streets would be hip-deep in blood. Not that a word would ever be spoken about it by the M$M. It would never have happened, the same way Tienanmen Square never happened so far as the Chinese people know.
