Cut Homeland Security
When the Port Angeles Border Patrol caught Ressam there were 3 or 4 agents. In 2009 there were two dozen and now there are 40 agents. They will need about 10 more to qualify for the new building they have bought and plan to remodel. Only problem is that there is nothing for them to do. But that has not stopped them from working overtime. An agent who refused the overtime because he considers it fraud has testified to that fact. Now apparently, he is the project the other agents are working on - parking in front of his house and taking pictures. I have a feeling it is going to get worse for him.

These agents are everywhere - driving through neighborhoods, speeding down the highway, staring at farm laborers through binoculars for hours.

1. I have yet to see a single genuine accomplishment of theirs
and they are, in general, not people who you want to add to your communities in any way, politically, socially, or otherwise.

Fatherland Security is the epitome of Bush-era fascism that I naively assumed Obama, as well as any other president than Bush, would dismantle as rapidly as possible.

2. Agree
it just keeps growing.
This force is about 4 times the size of our local police dept.
The local sheriff even told the state they don't have anything to do.

5. Cut Homeland? Cut Defense? You guys are asking for it
Some of the nastiest people on this planet stand ready to do us grave harm. The only thing stopping the and saving us is the existence of a HUGE Homeland Security Agency, Defense Department, and countless government contractors. As long as we continue to pay these HUGE government contracts we should be safe. If we should ever stop paying this for this shakedown, er I mean protection, who knows what might happen. It'd be a shame if something bad happened to such a pretty country. You guys do remember what happened the last time, back before we had a Homeland Security Agency?

Those same nasty people are making billions off of "protecting us" and they are not about to give that money up, even if they need to remind us from time to time why we need them.

6. And I wonder how many millions were spent trying to recover DB Cooper.
It isn't a habit that this country will give up easily. Like smoking. Basically we have created a lot of jobs that are counterproductive. All of the arguments are based on fear.

7. Were? Haven't you seen the news? We're still after him.
It's all over the place. The FBI is talking, his niece supposedly gave an interview, etc...

We'll quit smoking when the crematorium cools down.
