He's just about the easiest president to manipulate that we've had in decades.
Just put on a little pressure and threaten to destroy the world and he'll do anything you say.

It's sad.

The mood here is giving me the feeling that we are in for a huge run in tea for the next election.

The thing that puzzles me is how the Aztecs knew that in 2012 the Republicans would take over the whole country, stock, barrel, lock and load.

....

Edited for historical accuracy: it was the Mayans, not the Aztecs that had the calendar that ends in 2012.
My mistake.

1. Not sure what you mean about the Aztecs, but they don't want him going anywhere.
To the base, he is the "scary black Marxist".

The only people I see wanting him out are the money class, who assumed a cave on the debt ceiling without Austerity (as evidenced by the market today), but they are such a small minority (as comes to votes and %) that it shouldn't matter, no?

7. She means the Maya Calendar and prophecy
which is not the end of the world, just the end of a calendaric cycle... albeit a really long one.

21. Just got hubby a cheap Rosseta
At 30 it was worth trying... Rossetta stone is a tad on the expensive side. If it does not work I will get Rossseta at the Price Club for him... will let you know how that works.

2. Remember how they hated Clinton.
They do not think anyone that is even a nominal Democrat deserves to be President.

It was the Mayans who had the calendar.

3. He's B-l-a-c-k. That's the only conclusion I can come to
after observing the levels of disrespect and hate.

And McConnell could have said "It is our number one priority to put a Republican in the White House in 2012" rather than "making certain Obama is a one-term President". I always thought it was like "don't worry, we'll make sure this mistake doesn't happen again".

and they cannot abide the thought of a black man holding any position of power over them.

and they are racists. But, they would hate him even if he was white and even if he gave them 98% of what they wanted.

12. Yes, they certainly hated Bill Clinton, despite all his bowing and scraping before them.
Edited on Wed Aug-03-11 12:07 AM by QC
With Clinton, I always believed there was a strong element of class hatred in the GOP's disdain for him. He grew up poor and fatherless in the rural South, you know, and went to school on scholarship.

To put it simply, the ruling class believes that it is the natural order of things for people like them to reign over the rest of us. Clinton and Obama are not people like them.

22. Totally agree. Their hatred blinds them.
No matter how friendly Obama is to the Repigs they'll never like him. He's been wasting his time. He already had friends who would stick with him if he'd stick with us. :(

But we didn't have enough money.

25. Better for them when they hold it all
POTUS and Congress. No worries and it's back to the high old times of Smirk and Sneer, but this time they can do far more damage to the country and the world using the groundwork previously set. And they probably won't have to steal the election this time, Obama will deliver it into their hands if he stays on his current course. That leaves the House and Senate, so they have their work cut out for them. Better get cracking, GOPers!

18. Maybe the Republicans don't see Pres Obama
exactly the way you do?

To them he's a socialist Marxist who has overthrown the Reagan revolution and, according to Freepers, is holding a gun, Chicago style, to the GOP leaders' heads.

So what you see depends on where you stand.

unconstitutional under the 10th amendment. The tea bagged republicans are upset that charter schools have to let black kids in the school with their voucher.

24. Non-Republican Presidents
are not allowed. It says so in the Constitution and the Bible. Plus this one is black. They think he should be valet-parking their cars or washing dishes at their exclusive country clubs instead of presiding in the Oval Office.
