Poll question: Burned Out or Energized?
Now that the Big Debt Drama has completed its run, and we prepare for the consequences, do you feel burned out or energized?

Ready for the next round, full of determination to beat back them Pugs? Ready to stand for liberal values, and push them forward?

Or are you burned out, bummed out, and resigned to the suckiness of politics?

Are You:

3. This too shall pass, but my attitude toward Obama and the Dem leadership has changed
After this debacle, I am definitely not knocking 4,000 doors for these guys again next year.

But they won't move faster - or at all - without OUR help.

17. Now I'm really pissed, this is war. Try this at a busy corner.
Get a sign large enough to be seen easily.
Print on it something simple like this.

HONK
NO
SOCIAL SECURITY
CUTS

Stand on a busy corner where traffic slows down or has signal lights and hold it up.
You will be amazed, this tactic really works.
It will be loud!
If enough people do this it will spread.
And it will show very graphically just how many support the cause.

POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

This was done in 2004 in San Diego with a sign that read.

HONK
IF
BUSH LIED

It was deafening.People came out of stores to see what was happening.

21. In my town there is a group that has been doing that every Thursday since 2003
It started as a protest during the Iraq War debate. A group of anti-war protestors stood in the central park and rotary on Thursdays at rush hour with sides, including ones that said Honk for Peace.

Amazingly, they have continued to do that every Thursday since then, rain or shine, cold and snow. The signs address other issues too. Sometimes it's just two or three, other times it's somewhat bigger. But someone is always there.

Their persistence is amazing.
