Another Republican says the party left her....will run as a Dem..
Another Florida Republican has left the GOP -- and plans to run as a Democrat in 2012.

Former GOP state Sen. Nancy Argenziano said she'll challenge freshman Steve Southerland next year in a protest of sorts against elements she believes have "hijacked the party line."

"The Republican Party has left me, and I will run as a Democrat, in a sense permitting a claim to ultimate bipartisanship, along the lines of Ronald Reagan. The current iteration of the party abandoned real Republican principles long ago to cater to ideologues and corporations – the Koch entities, most notably – whose interests lie in the profiteering of America and the sacking of the middle class," Argenziano wrote in a letter announcing her candidacy. "Current Republican leaders have neither patience with nor allowance for honest elected officials, and they demand that members of the various legislatures – who, after all, have sworn to uphold the Constitution – instead just follow the hijacked party line and shut up."

The Miami Herald's kicker: Argenziano was involved in one of the most bizarre incidents in Tallahassee when she sent a 25-pound box of manure to a lobbyist with whom she clashed on a nursing home bill.

1. Doesn't she realize...
...she's leaving the Republican party for the Republican party?

This is the sort of thing that comes from not reading DU.

13. Almost: she's leaving the batshit crazies for the republican party
She's leaving a party called "republican" to join a party that - unfortunately today - *actually* espouses old-timey republican ideology. and I do mean old-timey.

16. Lieberdweeb is no longer a Democrat. He started his own party in Connecticut
when he lost the Democratic primary, so even though he caucuses with the Dems, he no longer is one of them.

9. Why doesn't she try to get 'her' party back in order,
rather than coming over and smelling up our part of town with lame-ass GOP ideas?

12. I sincerely hope the district that she represents..
..will elect a real, hopefully progressive Democrat in the next election...

It's sad.. she seems to be saying that the current Democratic Party is more in line with her Ronald Reagan ideology than that of the Teanderthals who have hijacked the Republicon party...

.....When a Republican is more comfortable in the New Democrat Centrist Party.

There is a HUGE Vacuum on The Left.
