Drivers continue to pay more at pump

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are up for the fourth straight week but the increases are decreasing, according to AAA Southern New England.

AAA's weekly survey Monday of prices found self-serve, regular averaging $3.75 - up just a penny from last week.

The price is 5 cents above the national average.

A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was $2.66.

MassachusettsGasPrices.com found regular averaging $3.78, down .3 cents from last week.
In Attleboro, on South Avenue the Shell gas station was selling regular for $3.83, and the Citgo station $3.75, and on County Street, Cumberland Farms was at $3.63.

1. Maybe is it time to release more from the reserve.
It would be foolish to wait until damage is done prior to acting as Obama did in April & May.

Hey, Obama, how about less golf & more work!

4. I feel very grateful that I had the opportunity to...
trade in my SUV for a MINI right before the economy turned. I see so many gas guzzlers on the road and I can't help but wonder how people can afford it.

6. 60 million barrels is about 4 days worth of US crude oil consumption
Not enough to actually move the market much.

The US will have to use less, since global production is pretty constant at 85 million barrels per day, and other countries are getting a bigger percentage of production.

Expect prices to go higher, much higher.
